
Society has manifested a “tell me what I want to hear, now” mentality. Our contemporary representation of fact finding has changed. Little did I realize that I was being introduced to the method of scientific inquiry as a means of factually supporting conclusions. The students in the class were then asked to make observations about what happened. In second grade I remember our teacher placing two ice cubes on the table and then pouring salt over one cube, but not the other.
